The House

The house rests amongst trees within an orchard garden along a quiet lane. It is very tranquil and peaceful and in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are just off the South Downs, yet close into the village of Kingston and have been welcoming guests to our home for seven years.

We are a Sussex family with a great love of the area. We enjoy our surroundings, village life and our ‘work’ hosting people from far and near.

Breakfast - served between half past seven and nine o’clock in our pleasant dining room overlooking the garden.

Your breakfast is freshly prepared and we make our own bread and preserves.

Start your meal with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals and orange juice.

Choose your English breakfast from a menu of ingredients, locally sourced where possible, including Sussex bacon and chipolatas, and free-range eggs.

Evening Meals

The popular village pub, The Juggs, is within easy walking distance and serves good food. It is advisable to book your meal in advance. We recommend the front restaurant.

Otherwise, there are many good restaurants and pubs in and around Lewes. Each of our rooms is provided with a folder of sample menus from our favourite restaurants to assist you in making a choice.

Wildlife and, in particular, birds are encouraged in the garden.
